Spotter Bottles

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

These are the spotter bottles I give away to all of my customers when I clean their carpet. If you need a refill just let me know. If you are not currently a customer but would still like a free spotter bottle, let me know! This stuff is plant based and 99% biodegradable yet still extremely effective against spots and stains, and it won’t damage your carpet!

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”270″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank”][vc_column_text]

Be careful. Someone used an over the counter cleaner that made these stains permanent. They also damaged the carpet fibers by scrubbing them too much and breaking them down. Click on image for larger size.

If you ever have a stain you are having trouble getting out, let me know and I will help you, even if you prefer to do it yourself! This spot remover I give away works great and doesn’t risk making a stain permanent.

Keeping Your Carpets Clean

I understand that some of you don’t want to read this and others are unable to watch the video. Everything in this article is also covered in the video so you don’t need to worry about watching the video and reading the article. I appreciate you taking the time to learn. If you have any questions or things you would like to learn about going forward please let me know,

Travis Sonderegger – Owner

“Our goal is to help you keep your home clean and looking nice for as long as possible. We will cover a few basic things like area rugs, air filters, and vacuuming.”

Area Rugs

The best thing you can do is stop the dirt before it gets in your home. One of the best ways to do this is by putting down rugs at entrances to your home, as well as transitions from carpet to any hard surface. This will both reduce the amount of dirt getting in your home, and keep some of those heavy traffic areas from getting smashed down.

20161005_124126

This is a good example of a heavy traffic area and entrance to the home. This is just inside the front door. This is also an intersection of the bottom of the stairs, the living room, and pathway into the kitchen. This is a great place for a rug. You can see the difference between the left side where the carpet has been cleaned and is lighter vs. on the right side where it is still dirty.

Replace Your Furnace Filters Often

On the left you cannot see the light through the filter, on the right you can see light coming through the filter. You can get a new filter at the hardware store.

Vacuuming

You don’t need an expensive vacuum. If it works properly and is maintained it should do the trick. Be sure you change the bag or empty the canister when it is 2/3 full. Clean or replace filters according to the instructions that came with your vacuum. If you need help figuring some of this out, I am happy to help!

Vacuum

Regular vacuuming is one of the most important things you can do for your carpet. When carpet is not regularly vacuumed, dirt will work its way to the base of the fibers, breaking them down and wearing the carpet out prematurely. It is important to properly set the height of your vacuum. The brush should lightly touch the fibers separating them and allowing air to flow through pulling dust particles out of the carpet.

Stay Beautiful Program

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”215″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]For starters I just want to let you know that I am a Professional Carpet Cleaner, not a graphic design major or English major. While I am good on computers, it has taken me quite a few days and many revisions to get this brochure put together and what I want it to be.

The Stay Beautiful Program breaks out the total yearly cost of carpet cleaning into small automatic monthly payments. The goal is to make things easier and cheaper for everyone. You dont have to keep track of how long it has been since carpets have been cleaned. You dont have to worry about being there to pay me at the time of the cleaning, everything is taken care of from my end.

If you would like a copy of this brochure just let me know. You can use the chat feature on the website, call/text, or even send me an email. My contact info is at the bottom of the page where it says get in touch. It is also explained somewhat on my website here. Thank you all for allowing me to serve you, I would have nothing without you!

My Education

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So I started out in 2014 with a home machine and then when I got hooked up with John and Lora at Superior Cleaning Solutions I started taking classes and getting my IICRC and ICRA Certifications. You can read more about my starting out here. I attend classes for 2 or 3 days of intense learning and hands on, and then take a test to see if I pass for the certification. Some cleaners go through this process and others do not, it is actually quite a topic of debate whether it’s worth spending thousands of dollars for these classes and certifications when people rarely ask about your certifications.

I am a member of several forums on the internet and groups on Facebook. This is the part I love. Great cleaners all gathered together to share and help one another grow to be the best business possible. There are people just starting out and people who have been in business for 50+ years. If I ever have a question or run into a situation I haven’t seen before I can have answers in just a few minutes from someone who has dealt with the situation before. It’s not just groups of people who don’t know what they are doing but actual seasoned and trained professionals, many of the instructors from these classes who work directly with carpet manufacturer’s, etc are in these groups. I am blessed to know and get to work alongside many of these amazing people

I carry a lot of knowledge in and of myself, but I also like to explain And help you as the customer understand as much as possible. I come with many visual aids as well as pictures, carpet samples, and stories. I have spent a great deal of time gathering together the information that I have to be able to best educate you. I want you to be able to understand, I want you to ask questions if you have them.  I am told quite often how much more sense things make now that __________  was explained to them in that way.

On to spots and stains. A spot is some kind of mark or discoloration in the carpet that is removed through normal cleaning. You are not charged for this. A stain on the other hand is something that remains after the cleaning process and generally requires some kind of special treatment to take care of. The solutions and products used to remove some of these stains can be expensive and time consuming. You can read more about my pricing structure here, but be sure to call for an accurate quote. I take great pride in the abilities that I have with stain removal and would love to show you more. You can read more about pet stain and odor removal here, be sure to call me if you want to know more, I have a great visual aid to explain all of this better.

If you ever have questions or run into problems, don’t be afraid to reach out. I really am here to help you and look forward to a long-lasting relationship with everyone here in the community. you can chat with me here on the website, call or text my phone number,  or even just send me an email to Travis@outwestcarpet.com[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

From Humble Beginnings

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I started cleaning carpets in 2014 back in Monticello Utah. I was sitting in church one day trying to think of what I could do for some extra income and that is what came to mind. I got started for less than $500. I bought a Bissell home cleaning machine and started cleaning carpets. I was still working full-time as an IT specialist so this was mostly a nights and weekends kind of thing. As a result of the short amount of time I would usually bring a helper along to help me pack things in and out and help me clean things up at the end of the day.

One of the guys that was working with me one day used to have his own carpet cleaning business. I didn’t think much of it but he kept bragging about this product and that product that he could use to get all of the stains out that my machine left behind. He told me he got all this stuff from John up north. My equipment did an okay job but not as good as I wanted. So I jumped on the computer and pulled up Google and tried to find this John. After a little while of searching online I was able to find his business, Superior Cleaning Solutions.

Starting out with my $500 Bissel and having this as a side job I was making some pretty decent money for a side job, but now having over $10,000 worth of equipment and this now being my main source of income it can be stressful and challenging. If you want to know more about my pricing and how that is all broken out you can read this post here

John and his team at Superior Cleaning Solutions have been really great help to me. They are where I buy all of my equipment and solutions from and the service there is top notch. I owe everything I have now to John and his wife Lora and I’m very grateful for their help in getting me started in this business. Superior Cleaning Solutions is where I go for all of my carpet education classes as well as to get all of my supplies and equipment. Suppliers won’t sell to the public but if there is something you want I can get it for you and teach you how to use it. You can view his website here, and read more about my education and how I like to educate my customers here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”189,190,191,192,193,194,195,196″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
